Consumer engagement at Subiaco

At St John of God Subiaco Hospital, we value the insights and experiences of our community. By working in partnership with patients, families and carers, we strengthen decision-making and continuously improve the care we provide.

Our consumer representatives have an important advisory role, helping us to continually enhance patient experience, safety and service delivery across the hospital.

We offer a range of opportunities for community members to share their perspectives, with representation across clinical and non-clinical committees, as well as key projects and redevelopment initiatives.

Consumer Advisory Group

The Consumer Advisory Group (CAG) includes patients, former patients, family members and visitors who have had direct experience with the hospital.

This committee meets every two months to provide feedback and help improve patient experiences. Members provide input on:

  • hospital planning, including quality improvement initiatives
  • patient safety and quality
  • strategic and operational plans
  • wayfinding, signage and parking
  • patient information, including brochures
  • patient experiences, including feedback, complaints and waiting times.

E-advisors

Our E-advisors Network provides a flexible way to get involved. Members can share feedback via email, without needing to attend in person.

You may be invited to review documents or provide input on initiatives that impact patient care and experience.

Other consmer engagement opportunities

Other hospital committees which benefit from the valuable input of consumer representatives include:

  • Partnering with Consumers Committee
  • Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Committee
  • Medication Safety Committee
