Natalie is with her employer of choice

St John of God Frankston Rehabilitation Hospital Allied Health Manager Natalie always wanted to work at St John of God Health Care.

“I think St John of God Health Care always had a great reputation, especially for neuro-rehab – my area of interest,” she said.

“In terms of being up-to-date with evidence-based practice and the technology we have here ─ I was really keen to get a foot in the door.”

With now almost four years working for St John of God Health Care under her belt, Natalie loves the challenge that comes with working in an environment where no day is ever the same.

“Every day is different. I get to work with such a diverse range of health professionals. They are all really great,” she said.

Natalie also credits her patients for her high level of job satisfaction.

Natalie, who started out as an occupational therapist at the hospital, has since progressed to a senior role and believes the opportunities that exist at St John of God Health Care make it an employer of choice among medical professionals in her field.

“There are some really great opportunities in terms of career progression and we have all the up-to-date research and technology here in allied health,” she said.

“I think if I was someone coming from overseas ─ the person can be assured that they’re going to be looked after. They’re going to be part of a team and a family.

“I think it’s just such a warm environment and everyone looks after each other at work. We really live by our Values.”

As someone who grew up on the Mornington Peninsula, Natalie is well-versed on the benefits of what the local area has to offer.

“It’s a gateway to so many great places like the wineries and the beach. It’s a really great lifestyle down here,” she said.
