Visiting hours

You are welcome to visit your loved ones during visiting hours.

We request that you plan your visits around meal and rest times, to help our patients with their recovery.

  • General ward: 10 am to 8 pm
  • Maternity ward: 3 pm to 8 pm

Please make sure children are always supervised.

Getting here and parking

St John of God Geelong Hospital is located in Central Geelong at 80 Myers Street.

Access to the front reception of the main hospital is on Myers Street.

Accommodation for relatives

If you are the main support person to a patient in our care, you may be able to stay overnight as a boarder if the patient you are staying with is in a single room.

The Victorian Patient Transport Assistance Scheme

If you are travelling from rural Victoria, you may be eligible for some assistance.

The Victorian Patient Transport Assistance Scheme (VPTAS) covers some of the travel and accommodation costs incurred by rural Victorians when they must travel more than 100 kilometres one way for specialist medical treatment.

Our professional pastoral services caregivers are an integral part of our multidisciplinary health care team and are available to all our patients and their family members. 

Our hospital has a range of facilities to make your visit more comfortable. This includes free Wi-Fi and cafes.
