Specialists
Accreditation
Accreditation as a specialist practitioner is available to specialists who are certified by a relevant clinical college, hold full WA Medical Board registration and are recognised as a specialist for the payment of medical benefits by the Health Insurance Commission.
To admit patients and/or operate and/or consult from suites at St John of God Murdoch Hospital, all specialists must be accredited to hold clinical privileges at the hospital.

Upon your initial contact, Medical Credentialing Administration will assist you to make contact with senior staff for meetings.
Following your initial meeting, the credentialing officer will forward you an application package with information about the process.
Completed application forms should be returned to the credentialing officer with all requested documentary evidence to facilitate credentialing.
Our Scope of Practice Committee reviews all applications and following approval, you will be notified in writing of your credentialing status and scope of practice.
By-laws and code of conduct
All accredited medical practitioners and service providers are expected to adhere to our code of conduct and practitioner by-laws. These documents govern the relationship between St John of God Health Care and its accredited practitioners, and set expectations for professional conduct, patient safety and the delivery of quality care at our hospitals and services. Practitioners will receive both documents following successful credentialing.
Sessional suites
Conveniently located at the St John of God Murdoch Medical Clinic and next to Fiona Stanley Hospital and the wider Murdoch Square Health Precinct, full practice management sessional suites are available on a full-time or part-time sessional basis.
The suites provide full medical systems and secretarial support.
