Orthopaedic surgeon takes out top doctor award

“Dr Greg Hogan has contributed an outstanding 21 years of service to our hospital,” St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital CEO Vanessa Unwin said. 

“As a leading orthopaedic surgeon, he is renowned for his patient-centred care, generosity, love of teaching, patience and expertise.

“Greg is deeply admired by our caregivers and his colleagues alike. Our theatre caregivers request to be on his surgical team, and young doctors aspire to learn from him,” she said.

“This is very fitting, as he is dedicating his time and resources to teaching the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.

“Congratulations Greg!”

Every year, the St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital Senior Leadership Group nominate a doctor they feel has made a significant contribution to the hospital. 

The Hospital Management Committee then made the final decision based on the submissions. 

The award was announced at the hospital’s annual Medical Practitioner Soiree.
