Dr Gounder is a specialist weight loss surgeon and the head surgeon at Perth Weight Loss and Surgery. 

He is particularly passionate about supporting people to find a new lease on life through weight loss and works closely with the multidisciplinary Perth Weight Loss team to ensure patients receive ongoing education and support.

“Bariatric surgery not only treats obesity but can also reduce the risk of other weight-related illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension and even cancer,” he said.

The centre has over 20 specialists available for patient consultations, all of whom provide hospital care at St John of God Mt Lawley or Subiaco Hospitals.
