Celebrating our dedicated St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital caregivers on Foundation Day

This week we celebrate Foundation Day and recognise long-serving caregivers who make up the fabric of our diverse and wonderful hospital.

Every year on 7 October, St John of God Health Care celebrates Foundation Day, a day to honour the founding of the Sisters of St John of God and their ongoing legacy at St John of God Health Care.

On this special day, we also recognise the caregivers who have achieved milestone years of service. This year at St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital, we recognised 79 caregivers who have achieved five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service and have worked a combined 930 years with St John of God Health Care.

Caregiver and St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital Storesperson Peter Mulder who commenced as a gardener back in 1984 when the hospital was known as St Anne’s Hospital, was our longest serving caregiver, celebrating 40 years.
