How young is too young to get colorectal cancer
Local GPs are invited to an education event to increase their knowledge and skills in identifying and diagnosing colorectal cancer, treatment options and managing GP relevant complications.

This event will feature a case study of a young woman, addressing the issues of an increasing trend of colorectal cancer diagnosis in the younger population.
Learning outcomes
After attending this education session GPs will be able to:
- Describe the changing epidemiology of colorectal cancer and appropriate investigations.
- Outline referral pathways for management of incidental endocrine findings.
- Explain the changes in contemporary rectal cancer management in the last five years.
- Describe the role of a chronic disease management plan for the management of psychosocial impacts of a rectal cancer diagnosis.
