It's Pastoral Care Week!
The Pastoral Care team extends a hospitable welcome for caregivers, patients and families to join us during Pastoral Care week as we take some time out in our busy day to relax, rejuvenate, reflect and refocus our minds. The Oasis (chapel) will be available all week, with quiet music and some relaxed seating. There will be different activities to suit all types!
Pastoral care practitioners at St John of God Berwick Hospital provide a listening ear and welcoming presence to all caregivers, patients and families.
They reach out and comfort a diverse group of people from all walks of life, who are vulnerable, who need to share their fears, their stories, their regrets, their joys
Come along and join in our pink themed morning tea raising awareness of breast cancer. Your gold coin donation will assist us in raising important funds for the McGrath Foundation. Raffle tickets are available for the opportunity to win a variety of wonderful pink prizes!

Our new chapel is a beautiful light filled space which is welcoming to all our visitors, patients and caregivers, regardless of their faith, religion or beliefs. The chapel opens up onto a beautiful reflection garden. 🙌🏻
While the risk of breast cancer increases with age, affecting women over 50 the most, it can still hit anyone at any age and that’s why it’s important to become breast aware from the very beginning. Have you talked to your kids about what to look for? If not, and you’d like access to some great resources for your teen, then check out the McGrath Foundation’s Lurve Curve website and app. It’s got everything you need to start the conversation at any time and not just during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. http://www.curvelurve.com.au/
