Employee training and development
Our hospital has strong partnerships with local universities and supports the education of medical students, junior doctors, and doctors-in-training through the Specialist Training Program.
Medical students can access education and training opportunities via the Ballarat Rural Clinical School, a collaborative initiative between The University of Notre Dame Australia’s School of Medicine Sydney and St John of God Health Care.
For junior doctors, intern positions are available in emergency medicine and general medicine, delivered in partnership with East Grampians Health Service.
The hospital also participates in the Commonwealth Government’s Specialist Training Program and hosts medical registrars from Western Hospital for clinical rotations.
