Londonderry School Easter Visit

In a tradition that spans over 10 years, students from the local primary school were excited to bring joy to those at the hospital in the lead up to Easter.

Students brought Easter baskets they handmade filled with Easter eggs donated by the children’s parents and teachers.

Hawkesbury District Health Service Chief Executive Officer Strephon Billinghurst said the visit was a highlight on the hospital’s calendar.

“We are delighted to once again welcome the students,” he said.

“The visit provides some light relief for our patients and their families at a time that can be hard when spending Easter separated from family and friends. Our staff look forward to this visit every year.”

Strephon said it was a testament to the dedication of the staff and students at the primary school that they had continued the annual visit for a decade.

“It is wonderful to see the commitment and enthusiasm shown by the students, teachers and parents in keeping this great tradition going,” he said.

“The hospital has been serving Hawkesbury for more than 22 years, and it is great to be able to welcome some of the youngest members our community into the hospital for this annual event.”
