Visitor information for Murdoch Hospice

Visiting hours

You are very welcome to visit your loved ones staying in our hospice.

No set visiting times apply to our hospice. We kindly ask visitors attending the hospice after 9 pm to use the call bell and the intercom at the front entrance.

Getting here and parking

St John of God Murdoch Community Hospice is situated within the grounds of St John of God Murdoch Hospital on the South Street side of the campus, with car access via gate 3 on Fiona Wood Road.

If you are the main support person to a patient in our care, you may be able to stay overnight as a boarder.

Patient Assisted Travel Scheme (PATS)

Patients travelling from regional Western Australia may be eligible for the WA Health Department’s Patient Assisted Travel Scheme (PATS). The scheme provides financial assistance for country residents to access medical specialists who aren’t available in their local area.

St John of God Murdoch Hospital is a smoke free hospital. Our buildings and grounds are smoke free to create a healthier, cleaner and safer environment for patients, visitors and caregivers.

Smoking is not permitted in any building, outdoor area or vehicle within our boundaries.
