Inaugural GP Grand Round
The first ever GP-focused Grand Round was held at St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals in September, which included presentations by local GPs Dr Barry Fatovich and Dr David Adam from Lockridge Medical Centre.

The Grand Round, which was one of the most well attended for the year, focused on the importance of primary and hospital care working together to provide the best and most appropriate outcomes for patients, especially in the current environment.
The presentation also included a case-based discussion to provide a focus on challenges and rewards of general practice, especially when working with patients with complex needs, and their families.
Grand Rounds are hospital-based medical education workshops, usually held monthly, for consultants and other caregivers. Following its success, the hospital now plans to hold more GP Grand Rounds in the future.
