100 Days until opening St John of God Midland Private Hospital

The countdown is officially on, with just 100 days until the opening of the new St John of God Midland Private Hospital.

This significant milestone marks the beginning of the final phase before the hospital welcomes its first patients, doctors and caregivers in August this year.

Purpose-built to support the growing health care needs of people living in Midland and the wider community, now and into the future, the new standalone hospital will deliver modern facilities, advanced technology and compassionate care in the tradition of St John of God Health Care.

Over recent months, teams across construction, clinical services, operations, technology and support services have been working together to prepare the hospital for opening day. From commissioning clinical spaces and installing and testing specialised equipment to recruitment and onboarding, activity across the site continues to build momentum.

The new hospital represents an important investment in local health care and will expand access to high-quality private health services closer to home for patients and families in the region.

St John of God Midland Private Hospital Chief Executive Officer, Vanessa Unwin said reaching the 100-day milestone was an exciting moment for everyone involved in the project.

“Opening a new hospital is about much more than a building, it’s about creating a place of care, compassion and healing for our community,” she said.

“We are incredibly proud of the progress made so far and grateful to the many caregivers, consultants and contractors helping bring the hospital to life.”

Over the coming weeks, St John of God Midland Private Hospital will continue sharing updates and behind-the-scenes milestones as preparations continue towards opening day on 27 August.
