Beth graduated from Medicine at University of Melbourne in 1987 before training in General Surgery in Victoria and Tasmania (1996) and then Paediatric Surgery (1998).

She continued to work in both Paediatric and General Surgery while doing an MD in Embryology before undertaking further Paediatric Surgery training in Nottingham,UK.

After a stint as Director of Paediatric Surgery in Newcastle, NSW, Beth returned to Victoria and General Surgery after the birth of twins.

She has since undertaken further training in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery while on Sabbatical at the Paris Breast Institute in 2012.

While embracing the whole of both general and paediatric surgery, Beth maintains a keen interest in oncoplastic surgery for breast cancer and regularly attends international conferences to maintain currency of service and practice.
