Dr Seema Sharma is a consultant psychiatrist with extensive experience in the assessment and management of psychiatric diagnosis with special interest in addiction disorders. Substance use disorders with co-morbidities like depression, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorders and eating disorders are her area of expertise.
Dr Sharma has worked in the public and private sector. She is experienced in assessing and managing all psychiatric conditions in adults, youths and geriatric population. Dr Sharma also reviews and edits articles for publishing in Australasian Psychiatry Journal.
She has a keen interest in relapse prevention through group therapy for outpatients and has expertise in mindfulness as an adjunct with medication to manage mental illness.
Dr Sharma currently only sees patients admitted to the hospital.
