Michael has been in practice as a Urological Surgeon in Bendigo for 20 years. His appointments are as follows:
• Clinical Director of Urology at The Bendigo Hospital
• Visiting Urological Surgeon to St John of God Bendigo Hospital
• A graduate of Queens University in Belfast, his initial training was in General Surgery in the UK. He also served as a Medical Officer in the Royal Army Medical Corps.
• He developed an interest in urology and went on to train in urological surgery in London, Nottingham, Melbourne and Adelaide.
• He has a wide range of interests including Uro-Oncology (surgery for cancer of the prostate, kidney, bladder and testicle), endoscopic surgery for benign prostatic enlargement and laser stone surgery, surgery for incontinence including artificial sphincter insertion and slings.
• His field of research at Monash University was microsurgery for male infertility and he continues this interest at St John of God Bendigo Hospital.
• He visits Echuca Hospital fortnightly and Kyneton Hospital monthly to consult and operate.
• Michael has special interests in:

• Endoscopic surgery
• Laser stone surgery
• Surgery for incontinence
