Hann graduated from medical school at the University of Melbourne in 2006, and completed his surgical training through Austin Health during 2012 to 2016. Upon successfully obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he was appointed as the Surgical Fellow for Bendigo Health in 2017. During his fellowship year in Bendigo, Hann not only grew to love the town and decided to move from Melbourne, but he also received mentoring in head and neck surgery..

Hann currently offers consultations and surgical management for a wide range of both general surgical and head and neck conditions. Although he has clinical interests in head and and neck conditions, Hann also performs surgical procedures for all patients across the entire breadth of general surgery: parathyroid, thyroid, salivary gland and laparoscopic anti-reflux surgeries, laparoscopic hernia repair, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, carpal tunnel surgeries, gastroscopy and colonoscopy..

Hann is extremely passionate about surgical education, and is currently the Supervisor of Surgical Training for Bendigo Health. He was named as 'Best Regional Surgical Teacher' by Austin Health trainees in 2019 and 2023.
