Our Mission has always extended beyond our hospital walls – and this year we’ve quietly made a meaningful impact where it matters most.

As a not-for-profit, for-purpose organisation, we’re able to deliver dedicated free and low-cost community programs that reach those most in need.

These include free or low-cost mental health and perinatal mental health care, drug and alcohol counselling and withdrawal support, assistance for individuals at risk of homelessness, and international capacity-strengthening initiatives.

That means that by choosing St John of God Heath Care over the past year, you’ve enabled us to provide more than $31.5 million worth of compassionate care to those most in need.

This care included:

• 31,302 mental health and alcohol and other drug counselling sessions.
  
• 23,938 nights of accommodation for people at risk of homelessness.
  
• Support for 1,292 individuals to reduce or stop harmful alcohol or drug use.
  
• 1,013 attendances at health professional training sessions in Timor-Leste.
  

Our organisational Strategy outlines Community Impact as a key priority area. This reinforces our ongoing commitment to addressing health disparities and strengthening partnerships that allow us to identify and respond to those who need our support the most.
