Dr Jayasekeran completed joint training in gastroenterology and internal medicine in the United Kingdom. This was followed by a PhD in Brain-Gut Axis at Manchester University.


He manages a broad range of GI conditions in private practice and his clinical interest is endoscopic assessment and management of biliary and pancreatic diseases. Dr Jayasekeran specialises in advanced endoscopic resection of large colonic polyps, having completed a Fellowship at Westmead Hospital, Sydney. The focus of his practice is to provide patients a comprehensive, unrushed and accurate assessment of their GI problems. He believes it is important for patients to receive a balanced opinion on the management of their conditions based on up to date evidence.


Dr Jayasekeran attends annual international conferences to keep abreast of the latest practice. He is passionate about safety of medical therapy for his patients and places immense effort in communicating well with patients and their general practitioners. He welcomes discussions by phone from referrers and can arrange for urgent assessment and diagnostics.
