Dr Wai-ee Thai is a Consultant Cardiologist and Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging Specialist.

In addition to General Cardiology consultation, Dr Wai-ee Thai specialises in non-invasive cardiac imaging (transthoracic, transoesophageal and exercise stress echocardiography) as well as cardiac computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. She also has a special interest in heart failure management and leads our Heart Failure Management Clinics at both Mulgrave and Langwarrin.

Wai-ee graduated from Medicine at Monash University with honours and completed her advanced cardiology and further specialist training in echocardiography at Monash Heart, Southern Health. She underwent a post doctoral non-invasive cardiac imaging and research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston USA in cardiac CT and MRI.

In conjunction with her clinical work, Wai-ee’s research interest lies in the use of non-invasive cardiac imaging techniques to assess myocardial structure and function. She has presented her research both at national and international scientific conferences and has multiple publications in cardiology and radiology peer reviewed journals.

Dr Wai-ee Thai provides general cardiology consultation from Langwarrin, Mulgrave and Berwick.
