A local graduate of the University of Western Australia. After completing Fellowships in Cardiac Electrophysiology at world leading centres in North America, returned to join the Western Cardiology team in 2003. Was recruited to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, that same year and continues to provide his services to the community at SCGH, St John of God Hospital, Subiaco and a number of the Western Cardiology suburban branch locations.

In addition to general cardiology, Dr Stobie specialises in all aspects of cardiac arrhythmia management including:

• Diagnostic services – ECG, holter monitoring, event monitoring, personal device oversight
• Catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation and other cardiac arrhythmias
• Cardiac device therapy
• Syncope
• Optimisation of anticoagulation for atrial fibrillation

Previously Head of Department at SCGH and now Chairman of Western Cardiology.
