Dr Sanjay Mukhedkar is a medical oncologist who treats patients at St John of God Murdoch Hospital.

Dr Mukhedkar was born and raised in Hyderabad, India. He graduated from Osmania Medical College, and achieved his post-graduate in General Surgery.

Together with his wife, Dr Mukhedkar migrated to New Zealand in 1995. He then relocated to Manhattan, New York, where he completed an MD in Internal Medicine in Columbia University, NY. He started medical oncology training in Waikato, New Zealand, and then completed this at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth.

Dr Mukhedkar has a special interest in the treatment of lung cancer and cancers of the gastrointestinal tract.
