Dr Al-amin Hoque is a general and adult psychiatrist with experience in all areas of psychiatry who offers one-off assessments for adults aged from 18-65, focusing predominantly on mood disorders, anxiety and psychosis where single assessments can guide the GP in the ongoing management of the individual without the need for follow up psychiatry care. This can be an efficient and effective approach for individuals who need to secure a much needed appointment with a psychiatrist to identify potential diagnoses and treatment options.

At this stage Dr Al-amin Hoque is available to assess individuals only in consulting settings

This service is not suitable for other situations such as autism, ADHD, DSP/NDIS/TAC/Workcover/insurance/employer-directed forms or other similar assessments. It is not suitable when individuals need acute, urgent or ongoing care.

In addition to his medical qualification (MBBS) he has advanced qualifications in psychiatry including FRANZCP (Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists), Master of Psychiatry (M.Psych) from the University of Melbourne and advanced training in adult psychiatry.

Dr Al-amin Hoque has a special interest in teaching, training and supervision and hold an adjunct lecturer appointment with Monash University. He has a special interest in leadership and holds AFRACMA (Associate Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators).
