Dr Deval is an experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist, training in obstetrics and gynaecology in Londons Hospitals including Guy's Hospital, St Thomas Hospital and Kings College Hospital. He completed his specialist training in the United Kingdom in 2013 with registration as a specialist with the General Medical Council, UK. 

He was the lead consultant at one of the largest providers in London prior to moving to Australia in late 2018.

He worked as a specialist at Bendigo Health prior to commencing at St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals in June 2019.

Dr Deval has a broad range of skills in general obstetrics and gynaecology with special interests in reproductive medicine and endocrinology, minimal access gynaecology and application of advanced ultrasound in acute gynaecology and early pregnancy.

He has completed the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists accredited advanced training skills modules in benign laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, subfertility and reproductive endocrinology and advanced labour ward practice.

Dr Deval has a post graduate certificate in obstetrics and gynaecological ultrasound from the University of Portsmouth in the UK.

Dr Deval is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology and a member of the American Association of Gynaecologic Laparoscopists. He is an adjunct senior lecturer in obstetrics and gynaecology and a mentor for medical students at Curtin University.
