Professor Allan Wang is a specialist shoulder and upper limb orthopaedic surgeon. He has particular interests in arthroscopic reconstruction techniques for rotator cuff tendon injury, dislocation of the shoulder joint and total shoulder replacement.
He is actively involved with research and teaching and is a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Western Australia and Adjunct Professor at University of Notre Dame.
Professional service includes President of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia; past Scientific Secretary of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (2012-2015) and past Chair of Continuing Education for the Australian Orthopaedic Association (2007-2011).
Prof Wang continues to lecture, and publish in international journals. His current research interests include innovative biologic therapies for tennis elbow and shoulder tendon injuries, and computer navigation in total shoulder replacements.
