Mr P.Y Tan

Mr PY Tan is a general surgeon with an interest in abdominal wall hernia and gall bladder surgeries.

Mr Tan take referrals for:

• Abdominal wall hernia repairs (laparoscopic and traditional)

• Gall bladder surgery

• Carpal tunnel release (endoscopic and open)

• Colonoscopy and gastroscopy

• PR bleeding, haemorrhoids, fistula, fissure lumps and bumps

• Small day procedures

• Mr Tan graduated from Melbourne University in 1999 and obtained his fellowship in general surgery in 2009. He subsequently gained BESA accreditation for gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Mr Tan's colorectal Fellowship was at Dandenong Hospital where he was involved in laparoscopic colectomies, emergency general surgery on-call roster as well as teaching and supervising general surgical registrars.

• He currently has public appointments at Monash Health and is involved with the delivery of acute and elective general surgical services to the Dandenong and Casey community. He is the General Surgical Intern Supervisor at Dandenong, and is a bedside surgical tutor for Monash University medical students.

• He also provides elective general surgical care in the private sector. He consults at St John of God Consulting Suites, 75 Kangan Drive, Berwick.
