Dr Tewksbury completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland in 2010 and went on to complete his FRACS in Vascular Surgery in 2019. He completed a six-month fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in 2020 before moving to Perth to take up a Staff Specialist role at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. During his training, Dr Tewksbury published original research on tibial angioplasty and aorta-iliac stenting for Peripheral Arterial Disease.


Dr Tewksbury is currently engaged in a number of research projects at the Heart and Vascular Institute at the Harry Perkins Institute. He also works closely with the post graduate medical education unit to mentor junior doctors and provides medical student teaching for UWA and Curtin universities.


Dr Tewksbury is a no-gap provider for hospital surgical procedures and has a waiting time of one to two weeks.


He is happy to discuss cases prior to referrals and works closely with the multi-disciplinary foot unit at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital for management of complex diabetic foot patients.


Dr Tewksbury's management style is based on maintaining quality of life and health through patient-specific approach to vascular disease.
