Lawrence graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2008. He completed his orthopaedic training in 2019 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association.



He has completed two years of Spine Fellowship in New Zealand, at Auckland City Hospital and Waikato Hospital. During his fellowship, Lawrence was exposed to a diverse range of pathology across areas of spine deformity, degenerative conditions, infection, malignancy and trauma. Being taught by leaders in the field, he gained experience in the latest techniques in spinal surgery, including computer navigation, minimally invasive surgery, and the various techniques in adult spinal deformity correction.



His practice now comprises of general orthopaedics, including hip and knee replacements as well as spine surgery, spanning the full range of conditions, from disc herniation to spinal stenosis and deformity in cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.
