Jonathan trained in radiation oncology at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, where he also completed a sub-specialty fellowship in head and neck cancer. In 2014, he joined the team at the Ballarat Austin Radiation Oncology Centre (BAROC) as a Generalist Radiation Oncologist.


Jonathan is passionate about radiation oncology and lifelong learning. He has published research on a range of topics including molecular oncology, skin cancer and anal cancer. He was a recipient of the Varian Prize and the Oncura Bourne and Langlands Prize for his research. Jonathan served as Co-chair and Chair of the eviQ Radiation Oncology Reference Committee from 2017-2021. He has been a lecturer in radiation and cancer biology for the Victorian/Tasmanian Radiation Oncology Training Network. He led the clinical implementation of deep inspiration breath hold (DIBH) radiotherapy for patients with left-sided breast cancer at BAROC, the first regional centre in Victoria to offer this technique.


Jonathan's focus is on providing world-class, evidence-based care for regional cancer patients close to home.
