Dr Ai Tran is a highly experienced rheumatologist with a comprehensive background in both clinical practice and medical research.
After completing a medical degree at the University of Western Australia (UWA), Dr Tran undertook specialty training in rheumatology at Royal Perth Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth. This was followed by a fellowship at Princess Alexandra Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital in Brisbane, where Dr Tran gained advanced expertise in managing complex rheumatic diseases.
A Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and a member of the Australian Rheumatology Association (ARA), Dr Tran is also accredited with a Certificate of Clinician Performed Ultrasound (CCPU) and holds a Master of Clinical Research from UWA.
Since transitioning fully to private practice in 2018, Dr Tran has dedicated his career to delivering personalised, evidence-based care to patients. With special interests in inflammatory arthritis, spondyloarthritis, gout, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and vasculitis, Dr Tran is recognised for providing expert management of these conditions.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr Tran has led numerous industry-sponsored clinical trials, contributing to advancements in the understanding and treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
