Mr James Savundra obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Western Australia in 1993. He was admitted to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2001, specialising in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Mr Savundra practices all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery with a clinical interest in paediatric plastic surgery, facial surgery and hand surgery. He has trained in Perth, Melbourne and New York City and completed a Hand Surgery Fellowship after his plastic surgery qualification.
Mr Savundra operates in both private and public hospitals including Fremantle Hospital and St John of God Subiaco and Murdoch Hospitals. He regularly travels to developing countries such as Tanzania and Laos to provide life changing surgery to those who would otherwise not have access to such services, and to train local surgeons.
