Dr Suren Subramaniam is an Australian trained, qualified Specialist Surgeon. He completed his general surgery training in various teaching hospitals in Perth including Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Fremantle Hospital through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Pursuing his interest in surgical oncology, and head and neck surgery, he has completed three more years of post-fellowship training. One year in head and neck surgical oncology unit in Wollongong Hospital, NSW; one year at endocrine surgery units at Royal North Shore Hospital/Hornsby Ku Ring Gai Hospital, NSW. His surgical oncology training was at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne. He gained valuable experience in the multidisciplinary management of melanoma and soft tissue sarcomas.
Dr Subramaniam is also on the clinical panel of statewide melanoma service through Western Australian Kirkbride Melanoma Advisory Service (WAKMAS) in Perth offering care for advanced melanoma patients.

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy
Implantable central venous access surgery
Salivary gland surgery – submandibular/parotid gland surgery
Thyroid/parathyroid surgery
Following his return to Perth, Dr Subramaniam has recently started his private practice at St John of God Subiaco and Murdoch Hospitals.
He also has appointments at Rockingham General Hospital and Peel Health Campus, Mandurah.
