Dr Claire Stevens is a general surgeon with qualifications in surgery of the liver, pancreas, gall bladder and bile ducts.



She completed her medical degree at Flinders University of South Australia in 2006. Claire did her surgical training in Melbourne, Geelong and Warrnambool and was awarded her Fellowship (FRACS) in General Surgery in 2015.


Claire undertook training in hepatobiliary surgery and liver transplant at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide and The Austin Hospital in Melbourne. She has also worked as the Senior Clinical Fellow in Hepatobiliary Surgery at University Hospital Southampton. This hospital pioneered laparoscopic hepatobiliary surgery in the UK and Europe and is the highest volume oncological centre for liver and pancreas surgery in the UK.



On return to Australia, Claire initially worked as a specialist hepatobiliary surgeon at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide. She returned to Geelong to commence private and public practice in general and hepatobiliary surgery including surgery of the liver, pancreas, gall bladder, adrenal glands and bile ducts.
