Dr. Bhavini Shah is one of the medical oncologists working at Casey Surgical Group. After completing her medical graduate degree in India, she completed physician training in Melbourne and has clinical interests in cancers of breast, gynaecological and skin origin.
She has done a Fellowship in early drug development and continues to actively participate in research activities. She is principal investigator of several clinical trials at Latrobe regional hospital. At Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, she has also worked in the area of cancer genetics and has an interest in this area too.
Throughout her career, she has gained experience and mentorship from various elite institutions, such as a Peter MacCallum Cancer Center, Austin Health, Monash Health and Eastern Health.
She is continues also working at the Latrobe Regional Health and is the clinical lead for skin cancers.
Apart from working in the clinic, she enjoys teaching budding oncologists and medical students. She is passionate about improving cancer outcomes and curing cancer, whilst providing comprehensive cancer care to patients.
