Dr. Puvana Raman joined the South West O&G team and this vibrant community in 2021. She earned her medical degree from the University of Adelaide and completed specialised training in Obstetrics and Gynecology (FRANZCOG) in Perth. Her journey included a pivotal year in Melbourne, where she enhanced her expertise in pelvic floor surgeries, laparoscopic techniques, and high-risk obstetric care.
Dr Raman is passionate about providing a broad spectrum of gynecological and obstetric treatments, tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. Her clinical interests are focused on innovative and minimally invasive approaches to:
- Endometriosis
- Fibroids
- Ovarian cysts
- Heavy menstrual bleeding and painful periods
- Postmenopausal bleeding
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Management of abnormal Pap smear (CST) results
She has contributed to the medical community through her work on two Cochrane reviews and is currently advancing her education with a Masters in Surgical Education alongside a Masters in Reproductive Medicine.
