Dr Jacques Perry is a general surgeon who treats patients at St John of God Geraldton Hospital.


Dr Perry studied medicine at the University of the Free State (UOFS) in Bloemfontein, South Africa, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 1987.


Dr Perry furthered his surgical skills by acquiring a Master of Medicine in Surgery (MMed) at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 2000. He also obtained a Fellowship of the College of Surgeons in South Africa, FCS (SA).


Since moving to Australia, he has also obtained Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2011.


Dr Perry completed additional training in 2011 in gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy and colonoscopy and is currently registered with the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA).


Dr Perry has a particular interest in abdominal and laparoscopic surgery. He performs multiple surgical procedures including laparoscopic procedures such as hernias and cholecystectomies (gallbladder surgery). Other surgical procedures include removal of skin cancers, emergency surgery, appendectomies as well as endoscopies (gastroscopy) and colonoscopies.
