Mr Uvan Naidoo is a Consultant General Surgeon with over 25 years of experience in trauma, acute, and elective surgery in Australia and South Africa. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and has worked extensively across both public and private health services.



He obtained the South African Fellowship in 1997 and the RACS Fellowship in 2010. Mr Naidoo has been actively involved in promoting early recovery and same day surgery for laparoscopic cholecystectomy and laparoscopic hernia repairs for the last 8 years highlighting the value of high-quality surgery.


Mr Naidoo is a surgical trainee supervisor and on the Victorian and Tasmanian Training Committee.


He has kept abreast of the latest techniques and advances in minimally invasive surgery, ensuring that the patients receive the best possible treatment tailored to their individual needs.


Joining Lapsurgery Australia has permitted him to provide Bariatric Surgical and non-surgical options to patients in a Multidisciplinary setting with a focus on preoperative evaluation and providing ongoing post-operative support.
