Mr Anthony McDonald is an experienced and fully qualified plastic surgeon who specialises in cosmetic surgery, reconstructive surgery, hand surgery and skin cancer prevention and treatment.
Anthony graduated with honours at Monash University in 1990. After internship and residency at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, he commenced general surgical training for two years. This involved terms specialising in burns and trauma. Anthony then entered four years of plastic surgery training. He completed his plastic surgery fellowship in 2000. Subsequent to this he spent 18 months in Exeter in England extending his experience in hand surgery and breast reconstruction.
He is the director of the Plastic Surgery Unit at University Hospital – Geelong and also operates at St John of God Geelong Hospital. Anthony’s interests include cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, hand surgery and general reconstructive surgery including skin cancer removal.
Anthony is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Australian Hand Surgery society. The aim of Anthony and his team is to provide you with the very best care in a professional and caring manner.
