Dr Maister undertook his medical training in Geelong before completing orthopaedic surgical training in Victoria and Tasmania. He has further honed his skills through Fellowships in Victoria and New South Wales.
Nick has extensive training in hip and knee surgery, including robotic surgery, as well as foot and ankle surgery, sports knee surgery and orthopaedic trauma. His special interests lie in primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery, robotic surgery and hip replacement via the direct anterior approach.
Prior to becoming an orthopaedic surgeon, Nick worked as a physiotherapist, giving him a unique perspective on the patient's whole journey and recovery. He is dedicated to providing personalised care and ensuring that each patient receives the best possible treatment.
