Dr Kara Mcdermott

Dr Kara McDermott is a consultant urological surgeon with a subspecialty interest in robotic uro-oncology, particularly the surgical management of kidney and prostate cancers.

Dr McDermott completed her medical degree at the University of Western Australia before undertaking advanced urological training in Perth and Auckland. She then completed a prestigious robotic uro-oncology fellowship at Guy’s Hospital in London, where she developed expertise in minimally invasive techniques for complex renal and prostate malignancies.

She is experienced in all aspects of general urology and provides comprehensive care for both men and women. Dr McDermott has a particular focus on robotic partial nephrectomy, robotic nephrectomy, robotic prostatectomy, and complex renal cancer surgery, including open and multi-specialty procedures where required.
