Dr Dilum Madigasekara

Dr Madigasekara is trained and qualified as a specialist in Australia as well as Sri Lanka, and has more than 20 years of experience in the specialty of obstetrics and gynaecology. After migrating to Australia he underwent further training with special focus on laparoscopic surgery and fertility care.

Dr Madigasekara is an active Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and is a board member of examiners for RANZCOG and currently Training Supervisor at the Bunbury Campus. He is recognised for his skills in:

• Laparoscopic surgeries for endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, hysterectomies and fertility related issues
• Hysteroscopic surgeries and all forms of endometrial ablations
• Surgery for vaginal prolapse including mesh repairs and stress urinary incontinence
• Fertility care
• Complex major gynaecological surgeries
• Abnormal pap smears/colposcopy

Dr Madigasekara provides private obstetric services at St John of God Bunbury Hospital, and participates in the emergency on call obstetrics roster at Bunbury Regional Hospital. He offers all services in obstetrics including normal deliveries, VBAC, ECV, instrumental deliveries and Caesarean sections. He is happy to provide shared care and is readily available for emergency obstetric situations.
