Dr Lee is a senior Australian and UK-trained eye surgeon specialising in cataract and vision correction surgery, diseases of the macula and retina, glaucoma and oculoplastic surgery.
He graduated from the Melbourne University Faculty of Medicine and studied at St Vincent's Hospital. He practised as a junior plastic surgeon and neurosurgeon at the Austin and Repatriation Hospital, won a Melbourne University scholarship for research in diabetic retinopathy at the Centre for Eye Research Australia and was awarded the degree Master of Medicine.
He trained in ophthalmology under the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, then completed post-fellowship training in medical retina, glaucoma and oculoplastic surgery at Moorfields and Western Eye Hospitals, London. He held consultant positions at Central Middlesex Hospital, London and Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Melbourne.
A Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, a member of Australian and New Zealand Society of Retinal Specialists, European Society of Retina Specialists, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and American Academy of Ophthalmologists, Dr Lee's current consultant appointments are at St John of God Warrnambool Hospital, Colac Area Health and Western District Health Service, Hamilton.
