Steve is a specialist general and colorectal surgeon based in Geelong and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).
Upon completing his medical degree at The University of Melbourne, he underwent further training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and completed his general surgical training (FRACS) at St Vincent’s Hospital. He then pursued further subspecialty training in colorectal surgery in high volume centres in the Gold Coast University Hospital and Western Hospital, Footscray through the internationally acclaimed Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) training program.
Steve is also passionate about research and has completed a Masters of Surgical Research through Deakin University, Geelong.
He has a strong interest in bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, hernias, perianal conditions and minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic, robotic and transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS). He also provides endoscopic services (gastroscopy and colonoscopy).
