Jon is a skilled ophthalmologist with specialist interests in vitreoretinal surgery and vitreoretinal oncology, including the management of choroidal melanoma. His current hospital appointment is to the vitreoretinal team at Fremantle Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital.
Jon completed his ophthalmology training in Western Australia before performing a further vitreoretinal surgical fellowship at Fremantle Hospital. His commitment to advancing his expertise in the treatment of intraocular cancers led him overseas for an additional fellowship at the Liverpool Ocular Oncology Centre (LOOC) and Royal Liverpool University Hospital, one of the world’s most prestigious vitreoretinal oncology centres.
Jon’s approach to surgery is to treat with kindness and compassion. This ultimately led him down the path of ocular oncology. He treats cataracts, vitreoretinal surgical disease and choroidal tumours, including melanoma.
