Dr Locke graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Newcastle in 2013. She trained in Palliative Medicine in Western Australia gaining her fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Chapter of Palliative Medicine in 2023. While completing her fellowship she gained a post graduate Master’s degree in Palliative Care through Flinders University.


Her career has afforded her the opportunity to work in a diverse range of areas from Metro Emergency departments to clinics in remote communities in North-East Arnhem Land and Far North Queensland. This diversity in clinical medicine and professional environments has given Dr Locke a strong grounding in patient-centred care regardless of their background.


As a Palliative Care Physician Dr Locke is able to care for all patients with a life limiting illness or terminal illness including but not limited to cancer, neurological disorders, dementia and irreversible organ failures of heart, lungs, liver, and kidney.


Dr Locke has a special interest in helping people get the care they need to live well and have a good quality of life. This involves managing their physical symptoms such as pain. The care provided includes managing emotional pain, psychological distress, social support, culturally sensitive care and support for families.
