Dr Nick Kovac graduated from the University of Notre Dame Fremantle in 2011 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He also obtained a Bachelor of Science (Medical Imaging) and a Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound.


He completed his orthopaedic training in Western Australia and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2023. Following this, Dr Kovac completed a year of international fellowship at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, which is the largest European campus with the busiest limb reconstruction service in the United Kingdom, with a well-established reputation as a major orthopaedic trauma centre and high volume elective orthopaedic unit. He also undertook further visitations in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.


During his fellowships and visitations Dr Kovac developed specialist interests and expertise to manage:



• complex trauma


• limb reconstruction (trauma, bone loss, infection, non union and deformity)


• foot and ankle (degenerative pathology, sports injury and deformity)


• knee and hip arthroplasty.
