Dr. Gurvinder trained as a Psychiatrist in Mumbai, India and then gained his Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
He works in both the public and private psychiatric sector in South-east Melbourne and Regional Victoria. His primary clinical interests include Adult ADHD, mood and psychotic spectrum disorders, grief and bereavement, gender incongruence, gender and sexual minorities. He believes in collaborative and humanistic patient care and brings a kind and humour-filled tinge into his consults, sometimes using film-recommendations as a therapeutic tool.
He has published extensively on some of the above issues including on gender and sexual minorities.
