Dr Mohan Jayasundera graduated in medicine from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 1992.
After several years at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, he returned to New Zealand to complete his surgical training, being awarded the FRACS in 2001. Subsequently, Dr Jayasundera undertook post Fellowship training at The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS, UK and Royal Perth Hospital, Western Australia. This was gaining further experience in upper GI, and colorectal surgery.
Dr Jayasundera has been a consultant general surgeon in Perth since 2004 and his clinical interests include:
• Colorectal surgery
• Laparoscopic surgery
• Colonoscopy and endoscopy
• Gastro-intestinal surgery
• Hernia surgery
• Emergency surgery.
• Dr Jayasundera operates at St John of God Murdoch Hospital and Armadale Hospital.
