Dr Paul Jarrett

Mr Paul Jarrett is a specialist orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty expertise in hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder surgery. He treats the full range of hand and upper limb conditions, including fractures, arthritis, tendon and ligament injuries, peripheral nerve disorders, and sports and work-related injuries. Experienced hand therapists are available in the consulting rooms during all clinics to provide integrated patient care.

Mr Jarrett welcomes both private and WorkCover referrals.

Mr Jarrett completed specialist orthopaedic training in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. Following this, he undertook the prestigious one-year British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) Interface Fellowship at St Andrew's Centre for Plastic Surgery in Chelmsford, one of Europe's largest hand surgery centres. He also completed training in peripheral nerve surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London.

Mr Jarrett is actively involved in orthopaedic research and has published peer-reviewed papers in leading international journals, including the Journal of Hand Surgery (European Volume), the Journal of Hand Surgery (American Volume) and Microsurgery. He regularly presents his research at national and international scientific meetings.

Since establishing the Department of Hand Surgery at Fremantle Hospital in 2015, Mr Jarrett has served as its Head of Department. He conducts weekly outpatient clinics and operating lists at Fremantle Hospital, and public patients may be referred through the WA public health system.
